INTACH Odisha and Sri Sri University Partner for Heritage Studies
Imagine two groups that love old buildings and historical places, like a history detective club and a university.
They've decided to work together to help save and learn about the amazing old treasures in Odisha.
The university will have a special 'Heritage Club' where students can learn how to protect old buildings.
They'll get to go on trips, learn how to fix up old places, and even take pictures and write stories about them.
This is because Odisha has so many old buildings, but many are not being taken care of.
By working together, they hope to discover and protect even more of these important historical sites for everyone to appreciate.
INTACH Odisha chapter and Sri Sri University have signed an MoU to establish a Heritage Club.
The agreement aims to promote academic, research, training, and awareness programs related to heritage and culture.
University students will benefit from field visits, conservation training, photography, and content creation opportunities.
INTACH, a Centre of Excellence, has been working on conserving Odisha's crumbling heritage monuments for three decades.
The collaboration aims to help document and preserve Odisha's vast, yet neglected, built heritage, potentially exceeding 12,500 sites.
