India Achieves 100 GW Solar Module Manufacturing Capacity
India can now make enough solar panels to generate 100 Gigawatts of power.
This is a huge increase from what it could make in 2014.
The government is helping by making a list of approved manufacturers.
This helps India make more solar panels at home and become more independent in its energy production.
This achievement is a step towards India's goal of having a lot of clean energy by the year 2030.
The project has grown since 2021, and now a lot more manufacturers are involved.
India's solar module manufacturing capacity reached 100 GW.
This is a significant increase from 2.3 GW in 2014.
The milestone supports India's goal of 500 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030.
The achievement is under the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM).
The number of manufacturers has grown from 21 in 2021 to 100.
