ISRO Chief Outlines Human Spaceflight Vision, European Cooperation
India’s space agency shared its plans for future human space missions at a meeting in Paris.
The meeting took place on September 9 and 10.
ISRO Chairman V. Narayanan spoke about people living and working in low Earth orbit.
He also discussed what space exploration could look like after the International Space Station.
India and the European Space Agency updated a cooperation agreement.
The agreement now covers human and robotic exploration, space weather, and keeping space activities sustainable.
It will remain valid until 2032.
Narayanan also visited space facilities in France to check work on the TRISHNA satellite mission.
ISRO Chairman V. Narayanan presented India’s human-spaceflight vision at an International Space Summit in Paris on September 9 and 10.
Narayanan delivered a keynote on human spaceflight in low Earth orbit and joined a panel on exploration after the International Space Station.
The European Space Agency and Indian Space Research Organisation amended their cooperation agreement to include human and robotic exploration, space weather, and space sustainability.
The amended agreement’s validity was extended until 2032.
Narayanan later visited the CNES Toulouse Space Centre and an Airbus facility to review progress on the TRISHNA satellite mission payload.
