Rubio Denies UK Cut Off Intel Sharing Over Boat Strikes
A top U.S. official, Marco Rubio, said a story about Britain stopping intelligence sharing is not true.
The story claimed Britain was worried about how the U.S. was doing military strikes near Venezuela.
Rubio said he talked to other countries' leaders, and no one brought up this issue with him.
He also said that the U.S. and UK still have a strong relationship and that this situation hasn't changed America's ability to do what it needs to do.
He called the report a 'false story.'
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio denied reports of Britain suspending intelligence sharing.
The reports suggested the suspension was over concerns regarding U.S. military strikes in the Caribbean.
Rubio stated that the operations near Venezuela were not discussed at the G7 foreign ministers meeting.
He asserted that Britain has not directly raised concerns with him regarding the strikes.
Rubio described the CNN report as a 'false story' and emphasized the strong U.S.-UK partnership.
