India-China Talks Seek Border Progress Amid Calls for Peace

India and China held an important meeting about their disputed border.

Ajit Doval represented India, and Wang Yi represented China.

They agreed that keeping the border peaceful is important for improving relations.

They also discussed how to mark the boundary more clearly and continue cooperation across it.

Both countries want to keep working toward a political solution to the border disagreement.

Some travel, trade and pilgrimage activities between the countries have restarted.

The meeting followed reports of a troop face-off near Arunachal Pradesh.

China emphasized that the relationship is important beyond just the border issue, while India emphasized that border peace must come first.
