Hyderabad digitises 20.34L enumeration forms in SIR drive
In Hyderabad, election authorities are working hard to update the voter list.
They have already turned over 20.34 lakh paper forms into digital ones.
This is about 42.96% of all the forms they have.
Many people, about 4.54 lakh, have also sent in their forms online.
This shows that more people are using digital ways to help.
The authorities are keeping track of how things are going in each area.
They are also working with political parties to make sure there are helpers at every voting place.
The biggest parties, like Congress and BJP, have already chosen many helpers.
The authorities are asking all parties to make sure every voting place has a helper.
They want these helpers to assist voters in filling out forms and to work closely with local officers.
To make things easier, they have set up special help desks and are spreading the word through different ways like door-to-door visits, announcements, and ads.
Over 20.34 lakh enumeration forms have been digitised, representing 42.96% of the total forms received.
4,54,327 electors have submitted their enumeration forms online, reflecting 9.59% of the total.
Congress has appointed the highest number of Booth Level Agents (3,601), followed by BJP (3,044), AIMIM (2,519), and BRS (2,212).
Election authorities urge political parties to appoint agents in all polling stations and assist voters in filling out forms.
Dedicated help desks and awareness initiatives have been established to facilitate the revision process.
