GHMC Deploys Drones to Fight Mosquito Breeding Across Hyderabad
Hyderabad’s city government is using drones to help reduce mosquitoes.
The drones fly over places where mosquitoes may grow.
They spray a substance called larvicide on standing water.
This includes flooded areas, drains, open plots and other water bodies.
Mosquitoes can breed in still water.
Some of these places are hard or unsafe for workers to reach.
Drones can cover these locations faster and more widely.
The goal is to help control mosquito breeding in the city.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation is using drones to control mosquito breeding in Hyderabad.
The drones spray larvicide over waterlogged areas, stagnant water bodies, open plots and drains.
The operation targets locations where mosquitoes are likely to breed.
Drones can reach places that are difficult or risky for workers to access manually.
