Kerala Students Fall Ill After Pantry Food On Train

Kerala schoolchildren were travelling home by train after visiting Delhi.

Some children became sick after eating food from the train’s pantry car.

They felt nauseous and some vomited or had diarrhea and dizziness.

The train stopped at Khandwa so doctors could help them.

Doctors gave the children first aid, medicines and other basic treatment.

One report said the children were taken off the train, while another said doctors treated them inside.

Railway staff continued monitoring them as the journey continued.

Reports differed on whether 15 to 20 or about 50 children were affected, and officials said the exact cause still needed investigation.
