National Dam Safety Panel Praises HYDRAA’s Hyderabad Lake Restoration Model
A national expert committee visited Fox Sagar Lake in Hyderabad.
The committee looked at the lake, its main wall, and possible safety problems.
HYDRAA explained how it plans to restore and protect the lake.
The plan includes protecting the lake’s boundaries and nearby public property.
It also aims to keep the lake’s natural features.
HYDRAA is improving channels that bring in floodwater and carry away extra water.
The committee liked this work and said other places could use a similar approach.

HYDRAA is improving lake inlets, outlets and bunds while retaining natural features and water-storage capacity.
