BUMA International Group Reports 9M 2025 Recovery
BUMA International Group, a big mining company, shared its results for the first nine months of 2025.
They said things are getting better after some tough times earlier in the year.
They moved more dirt and coal, and their costs went down.
They made more money in the third quarter, but they still lost a little overall for the nine months.
They also spent money on new things to help their business grow.
The company is working hard to be more efficient and take care of the environment and the people in the communities where they work.
BUMA International Group reported improved operational and financial performance for 9M25, with stronger QoQ results in 3Q25.
Overburden removal and coal production increased by 25% and 12% QoQ respectively in 3Q25, supported by higher effective working hours and shorter cycle times.
3Q25 revenue increased to US$400 million, up 6% QoQ, while EBITDA rose to US$63 million (19% margin).
Year-to-date (YTD) results were affected by severe weather and operational disruptions in 1Q25, with overburden and coal production down 20% and 8% YoY respectively.
The Group recorded a net loss of US$81 million for 9M25, mainly due to lower EBITDA and receivable provisions in Australian operations.
