Hexaware Pushes AI Beyond Chatbots Into Software, Robots

Hexaware showed how AI can do more than answer questions in chatbots.

It can look at pictures and understand what is happening around it.

For example, it could help a technician repair a washing machine.

It could also let someone see how clothes might look without physically trying them on.

Another demonstration showed a robot dog whose controls could potentially be intercepted by an attacker.

This means computer security may also become a safety issue for machines in the real world.

A humanoid robot copied the movements of a person wearing a special motion-capture suit.

Hexaware said its biggest near-term business opportunity is helping companies build software and update older systems more quickly.
