Mumbai Schools Sports Association Recognised After 133 Years

The Mumbai Schools Sports Association has been helping children play sports since 1893.

It has now received recognition for being the oldest school sports association.

It was also recognised for involving many schools in football tournaments.

More than 465 schools are connected to the association.

About 22,000 children play in its football competitions every year.

These players take part in teams for different age groups, from Under-8 to Under-16.

MSSA says its records belong to students, teachers, coaches, parents and other supporters.

The association wants to give even more children opportunities to play and learn through sport.
