India's consumption rebound led by urban areas
India's consumption is picking up again, but it's mostly happening in cities.
People in urban areas feel more positive about their finances and are spending more.
In the countryside, things are improving too, but much more slowly.
Last month, the feeling of being better off financially went up a little in rural areas, but it was a lot higher the month before.
So, while things are looking up, the cities are leading the way.
India's consumption rebound is led by urban areas with surging sentiment.
Urban income perceptions improved by 1.2 percentage points year-on-year.
Rural sentiment showed marginal gains with a 0.6% increase in November.
Rural ICS had a stronger increase of 5.8% in October.
The rebound in consumption is clearly city-led.
