Kaisika Dwadasi Celebrated With Devotion At Tirumala

Kaisika Dwadasi Celebrated With Devotion At Tirumala

In Tirumala, a special festival called Kaisika Dwadasi was celebrated early Sunday morning.

This is a very important tradition for people who follow Lord Vishnu.

During this festival, a special idol of Lord Ugra Srinivasa Murthy, along with his goddesses, is taken around the temple on a parade before sunrise.

This parade of this particular idol only happens once a year.

After the parade, priests read a holy story called the Kaisika Purana.

This story is about a very devoted follower named Nambaduvan who kept his promise to God.

Because of his great faith, he was granted salvation.

The festival celebrates honesty, belief, and God's kindness.

Important religious leaders and temple officials were present for the celebration.
