Wicked Casting Director Praises Marissa Bode as a 'Real Find'

Casting directors recently met to talk about how they choose actors for movies.

One director, who has worked on the stage version of 'Wicked' for a long time, talked about finding an actress for the role of Nessarose Thropp in the new movie.

It was important to find someone who uses a wheelchair to play this character, and they found Marissa Bode.

They said she was a 'real find' because she could act, sing, and fit the character perfectly.

Other casting directors also shared stories about how they find actors, sometimes relying on their gut feeling or having strong relationships with directors.

They also discussed how much thought goes into choosing the right person, even mentioning how one director wrote letters to actors who didn't get a part to thank them for their unique performances.
