Gorilla-Led Traffic Campaign Draws Attention In Indore

Gorilla-Led Traffic Campaign Draws Attention In Indore

Indore Police used a person dressed as a gorilla to teach people about road safety.

The gorilla stood at Palasia Square, a busy traffic intersection.

It danced, used hand signals and spoke with commuters.

It stopped vehicles traveling on the wrong side of the road.

It also asked drivers to stop before the zebra crossing.

Motorcyclists were reminded to wear helmets, and car drivers were reminded to wear seat belts.

The gorilla helped pedestrians cross the road safely.

The campaign was designed to make traffic rules memorable and encourage people not to rush.

Indore has also used dancing traffic officials and other creative campaigns in the past.
