House Overwhelmingly Votes to Release Epstein Files; Trump Changes Stance
The U.S. House of Representatives voted almost unanimously to make the Justice Department release all unclassified records on Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted sex offender who died in prison in 2019.
President Trump, who initially opposed the bill, changed his mind and said he would sign it if it passes the Senate.
Survivors of Epstein's abuse joined lawmakers to urge their support.
During a press conference, Trump criticized an ABC News reporter and suggested revoking the network's license after she asked about Epstein and Jamal Khashoggi.
He also defended Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman despite US intelligence findings on the prince's role in Khashoggi's murder.
