CBS News Top Talent Executive Laurie Orlando Departs Amid Ownership Changes
A top executive named Laurie Orlando is leaving CBS News.
She was in charge of finding and developing talent for the news and stations.
She told employees about her departure on Monday.
Before coming to CBS in 2016, she worked at ESPN in a similar role.
Her exit comes after CBS News got new owners, Skydance-Paramount, and a new boss, Bari Weiss, became editor in chief.
There were also recent job cuts affecting nearly 100 people in the news division.
Other people have also left, including one who led standards and practices and a co-anchor of the CBS Evening News.
This shows the new owners want to make big changes, possibly even changing the CBS Evening News program.
There's talk about who might replace people, but contracts are still in place.
