Apollo Hospitals Q2 Net Profit Rises 25% Driven by Revenue Growth
Apollo Hospitals, a big healthcare company, did better financially in the second part of the year.
Their profits went up by a quarter compared to last year.
This happened because they earned more money from all their different parts, like their hospitals, pharmacies, and online health services.
Their total income also increased.
Even though fewer beds in their hospitals were used compared to last year, they still made more money overall.
They plan to build many more hospital beds in the next few years and are investing a lot of money to do so.
The company is growing its business across all its main areas.
Apollo Hospitals reported a 25% year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 494 crore for the second quarter.
Consolidated revenue from operations grew by 13% to Rs 6,304 crore during the same period.
Consolidated EBITDA rose 15% to Rs 941 crore, with margins improving slightly.
Core healthcare (hospital) revenues increased by 9%, though bed occupancy decreased to 69% from 73% year-on-year.
The company plans to add 4,400 capacity beds and 3,600 census beds over the next five years with an investment of Rs 5,800 crore.
