SSC Revises Stenographer Allocation After Skill Test Review
The Staff Selection Commission, which hires people for government jobs, made a new list of people who can become stenographers (fast writers).
They changed the list because some candidates said the test scores were wrong.
Now 232 people can be Grade C stenographers and 1,483 can be Grade D. All 10,132 people who filled out their job preferences are being considered.
The candidates who are on the list have to go to a special meeting on August 11 or 12 to pick their job location.
If they don’t show up, they lose their chance.
The test allows a few mistakes: up to 5% for normal candidates and 7% for reserved ones in Grade C, and up to 7% or 10% in Grade D.
SSC released a revised first round tentative allocation for stenographer Grade C and D after reviewing the skill test.
232 candidates were recommended for Grade C and 1,483 for Grade D.
10,132 candidates who submitted preferences were considered in the allocation.
Candidates on the list must attend the sliding process on August 11-12, 2026, in person.
Skill test error limits: 5%/7% for Grade C, 7%/10% for Grade D.
