Gujarat's First Amrit Bharat Express Flagged Off, Congress Detained
Gujarat launched its first Amrit Bharat Express train, a new affordable train service, from Surat to Brahmapur.
During the event, police detained 10 Congress leaders who intended to submit a memorandum with demands for the railway minister.
The train includes advanced safety features and is designed to benefit lower-middle-class passengers, traveling around 1,000 kilometers for about Rs 450.
The railway minister also announced plans for more festive trains and the upcoming bullet train project between Mumbai and Ahmedabad, with Surat as a key stop.
