Trump vows hard response to Iran after Jordan attack
President Trump said the United States would hit Iran hard after Iran fired missiles at a U.S. base in Jordan.
He also talked about a drone that hit a U.S. gas tanker in Egypt.
Trump said he was told by China and Russia that they wouldn't help Iran.
He wants to end the war but will fight back if needed.
President Trump announced the U.S. would retaliate against Iran following ballistic missile attacks on a U.S. base and military center in Jordan.
Trump said Washington would consider an agreement to end the war but would "hit them very hard."
He was briefed on a drone strike that hit a U.S.-owned gas storage tanker at Egypt’s Damietta port.
Trump noted that China’s President Xi Jinping and Russia’s Vladimir Putin had assured him they would not intervene on Iran’s behalf.
