L&T Wins 1,600 MW NTPC Thermal Power Order in Chhattisgarh
Larsen & Toubro, a big Indian engineering company, got a new job from NTPC, the country’s biggest power company.
They will build a huge power plant in Chhattisgarh that can make 1,600 megawatts of electricity.
The plant will have two very efficient 800‑megawatt units.
L&T will design, build, and test everything.
This new plant will help India have more power for factories, cities, and roads.
L&T secured a 1,600 MW thermal power plant order from NTPC in Chhattisgarh.
The plant will consist of two 800 MW ultra‑supercritical units, including design, engineering, manufacturing, erection, testing and commissioning.
L&T will execute the contract on an EPC basis, adding 1,600 MW of baseload capacity to India’s grid.
The order is L&T’s third ultrasupercritical project with NTPC in two years, reflecting continued trust.
L&T’s share price remained flat on the NSE, with a 6% decline over the past month and a 1% return over six months.
