Lemon Tree Restructures, Warburg Pincus Invests
Lemon Tree Hotels is splitting into two parts.
One part, Lemon Tree, will manage hotels without owning them.
The other part, Fleur Hotels, will own and develop hotels.
Warburg Pincus, a big investment company, is buying a large part of Fleur and investing Rs 960 crore.
Lemon Tree's shareholders will also get a part of Fleur.
This change will make both companies stronger and more valuable.
Fleur will be listed on the stock market in about a year and a half.
The goal is to make the companies more focused and transparent for investors.
Lemon Tree Hotels is restructuring into two entities: an asset-light hotel management company and Fleur Hotels, an asset-heavy hotel ownership platform.
Warburg Pincus is investing up to Rs 960 crore in Fleur Hotels and acquiring a 41.09% stake.
Fleur Hotels is expected to be listed separately within 12-15 months, subject to approvals.
Lemon Tree shareholders will own 32.96% of Fleur, while Lemon Tree will retain a 41.03% stake.
The restructuring involves internal mergers and transfers to simplify the corporate structure and expand Fleur's portfolio to 5,813 keys across 41 hotels.
