Delhi Promotes 23 School Principals to Deputy Director Posts

Delhi has promoted 23 principals who led government schools to larger education department jobs.

They will become Deputy Directors of Education.

Their new work may involve supervising several schools or handling district-level tasks.

Lieutenant Governor Sardar T.S. Sandhu approved the promotions.

The promotions apply to vacancies for 2025 and 2026.

A committee at the Union Public Service Commission recommended the changes.

This follows an earlier promotion process that filled 16 vacancies for 2024.

Delhi is also separately trying to hire 124 principals and 704 vice-principals.

Those hiring efforts are for school-level jobs, while these promotions are for higher administrative posts.
