IIT Madras, ENAC Launch Aviation Safety Course
IIT Madras and ENAC, a French aviation school, are starting a new course together.
This course is about making air travel safer.
Airbus is helping with this course.
It will start in February 2026 and will last for two years.
Only 30 people can join.
The course will teach people how to make air travel safer by learning about risks and how to manage them.
Teachers from ENAC will come to India to teach.
The course is for people who already work in aviation, like in airlines or airports.
The first group of students is already taking the course and they like it.
This course is important because air travel is getting more complicated and needs better safety rules.
IIT Madras Pravartak Technologies Foundation and ENAC are launching a joint Aviation Safety Management (ASM) programme.
The programme is supported by Airbus and aims to enhance aviation safety education in India.
Applications for the February 2026 batch are open until January 31, 2026, with a maximum of 30 participants.
The two-year course covers technical, operational, and managerial aspects of aviation safety, delivered by ENAC faculty.
The programme includes a blended format with in-person sessions and a six-month project or dissertation component.
