DMK Undecided on Attending Vijay's Delimitation Meet After Assembly Clash

People in Tamil Nadu are worried about a big government plan called delimitation.

The national government wants to redraw the lines that decide how many leaders each state sends to Parliament.

Some people think this plan could give Tamil Nadu less of a voice in the country.

The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Vijay, called a meeting with all the state's MPs on August 8 to talk about it.

A minister named Aadhav Arjuna asked the leader of the opposition, Udhayanidhi Stalin, whether his party would come to the meeting.

The two sides argued about it inside the state Assembly.

The argument got so loud that the Speaker had to remove some words from the official record.

Udhayanidhi said his party has always opposed the plan because it could reduce the state's representation.

He said his party leader, M K Stalin, would decide later whether they will attend the meeting.
