J&K MLA Intervenes to Save Cop Threatening Suicide

A police officer from Jammu and Kashmir climbed a tree and threatened to harm himself due to his reduced salary.

His pay was cut significantly after the pandemic and stopped entirely after he contested the cuts.

An MLA from his constituency traveled to where the officer was located, talked to him, and convinced him to come down after five hours.

The MLA helped prevent the Himachal Pradesh police from filing charges against the officer.

The MLA also stated the government should not have abandoned the officers after their service.
