IndusInd Bank to Raise ₹30,000 Crore to Improve Sentiment
IndusInd Bank wants to raise a lot of money to make investors feel good and to boost their capital.
The bank's board agreed to get up to ₹30,000 crore.
They will borrow ₹20,000 crore and also sell stocks worth ₹10,000 crore.
This is done by selling securities to investors, with things like American Depository Receipts, and Qualified Institutional Placements.
The bank is also changing its rules to let its main owners, the Hindujas, choose two people to be on the board of directors.
This move follows accounting mistakes revealed earlier this year.
IndusInd Bank's board approved raising up to ₹30,000 crore.
The funds will be raised via debt and equity.
₹20,000 crore will come from debt securities.
₹10,000 crore will be raised through securities, including ADRs and QIPs.
The bank will amend its Articles of Association to allow the Hindujas to appoint directors.
