New Mumbai Airport Footbridge Opens, Easing Metro Access
Imagine a bridge built just for your feet that helps you get to the airport!
In Mumbai, they built one connecting the airport terminal to the Metro, which is like a train underground.
This new bridge, made of strong steel, is long and high up, over another train line being built.
It helps people avoid traffic and walk straight from the train to the airport check-in.
Now it's much easier, faster, and safer to get to the airport, especially if you have bags.
A new foot overbridge directly connects Mumbai Airport's Terminal 2 to Metro Line 3.
The bridge is 100 meters long and made of structural steel.
Passengers can now walk directly from the Metro station to the check-in area.
The bridge is 23 meters above ground, constructed over the ongoing Metro Line 7A.
The project reduces the walking distance to the airport and eliminates road crossings.
