NCSC Seeks Warring Arrest in Buta Singh Remarks Case

A government commission is looking into a complaint about comments made by Raja Warring about the late leader Buta Singh.

The comments were allegedly made during an election campaign in Tarn Taran in November 2025.

Buta Singh’s son, Sarabjot Singh, said the comments were insulting and casteist.

A police case was registered after his complaint.

The National Commission for Scheduled Castes said the investigation and arrests had taken too long.

It asked police to report within five days on whether they had taken steps to arrest the accused.

The Commission also asked police to protect Sarabjot Singh and his dependents because he reported threatening calls.

Warring said his speech was deliberately twisted, denied intending to insult anyone and had earlier offered an unconditional apology.
