India-New Zealand FTA Clears Parliament, Nears Implementation

India and New Zealand have agreed on a trade deal.

New Zealand’s Parliament approved the law needed to move the deal forward.

The vote was 93 to 29, with support from the main governing and opposition parties.

Indian products will be able to enter New Zealand without customs taxes.

New Zealand products will also receive lower or no taxes in India on many goods.

Some sensitive Indian products, such as dairy and sugar, are excluded.

The deal may bring investment, jobs, and more business between the countries.

It also creates new opportunities for Indian students, workers, and young travelers in New Zealand.
