Congress Protests VB-G RAM G Act
The Congress Party held a protest in Delhi against the new VB-G RAM G Act, which replaced the old MGNREGA scheme.
They say the new law takes away the guaranteed right to employment that MGNREGA provided.
The Congress believes the government is attacking the poor by removing these guarantees.
They started a 45-day campaign to demand the old scheme be brought back.
The protest leaders spoke about how MGNREGA helped millions of rural families, especially women and marginalized communities.
They also mentioned that the new law makes it harder for states to fund the scheme and gives more power to the central government.
The Congress wants the government to listen to their demands and restore the original MGNREGA.
