Bhopal BMC Under Probe for Iron Usage in Drain Project
In Bhopal, there's a big problem with a project to cover a drain.
The officials say they used a lot of iron, about 16 tonnes, for a drain that's only 240 meters long.
People are questioning if this is true because it seems like too much iron for such a small drain.
The BMC Commissioner has ordered a check to see if the iron was really used.
Some engineers are being blamed for not doing their jobs properly.
The investigation is still going on to find out what really happened.
BMC officials alleged to have used 16,139 kg of iron for a 240-meter drain in Bhopal.
Project cost Rs 13.34 lakh, raising questions about authenticity of measurements and billing.
BMC Commissioner ordered core cutting to verify the actual use of iron.
Executive Engineer Brijesh Kaushal accused of not monitoring the project and withholding the core cutting report.
Investigation ongoing, with no response from EE Kaushal to the allegations.
