FGG Launches Voter Awareness Drive Ahead of Jubilee Hills By-Poll
Imagine a big election is coming up for a neighborhood called Jubilee Hills.
A group called the Forum for Good Governance wants to help people remember why voting is super important!
They held a meeting to talk about how sometimes people don't vote, or they vote because of friends, money, or other reasons instead of choosing the best person.
The speakers at the meeting said that every single vote counts, like a small piece of a puzzle that makes the whole picture.
They reminded people not to take money or drinks from politicians if they want to be able to complain later if things don't get done.
They also pointed out that in some other countries, politicians have more time to help people because there are fewer people per politician.
The goal is to make sure everyone votes and picks someone good to represent them, making our democracy strong.
Forum for Good Governance (FGG) organized a voter awareness program in Hyderabad.
The program aimed to increase voter participation and encourage informed voting ahead of the Jubilee Hills by-poll.
Speakers highlighted concerns about low urban voter turnout, particularly in Jubilee Hills (47%).
The event addressed the influence of money, caste, and religion in elections and the importance of every vote.
Retired officials urged voters not to succumb to inducements from political parties and to fulfill their civic duty.
