Moshi Garbage Depot Accident Report Submitted To Maharashtra Government

A large pile of garbage fell onto a building at the Moshi waste depot.

The accident happened on 8 July in Pimpri-Chinchwad.

Nine workers died and 12 people were injured.

The Maharashtra government created a committee to find out what went wrong.

The committee visited the site and spoke with officials, contractors, experts and workers.

It also checked safety approvals, building drawings and maintenance records.

Its first report has now been submitted, but it does not decide final responsibility.

A more detailed report is expected by 14 September.
