Hyderabad Police Crack Down on Scams: Crypto and Fake Apple Goods
In Hyderabad, people were arrested for two separate scams.
In one case, a person was tricked into giving up money in a cryptocurrency deal, where the suspects used distraction to steal the money.
In another case, others were caught for selling fake Apple accessories that looked real, cheating customers and the Apple company.
Hyderabad police arrested five for a cryptocurrency scam involving attention diversion tactics.
The suspects diverted the victim's attention while another stole Rs 6.40 lakh.
The incident occurred at a travel office in Paramount Colony, Hyderabad.
Five were also apprehended for selling counterfeit Apple accessories.
Counterfeit products worth an estimated Rs 3 crore were seized.
