Bilkis Bano Case Convict Granted Seven-Day Parole

Radheshyam Shah is one of the people convicted in the Bilkis Bano case.

He is serving a life sentence in prison.

He asked the Gujarat High Court for temporary release because his family was facing financial difficulties.

The court gave him parole for seven days.

He must pay a personal bond of Rs 10,000.

He must also report to a police station twice and return to prison when the seven days end.

Shah was one of 11 convicts released early in 2022.

The Supreme Court later cancelled those releases and ordered the convicts to return to prison.
