Gujarat's SWAGAT Initiative Resolves Thousands of Citizen Grievances
Imagine a special program in Gujarat called SWAGAT where people can tell the government about their problems.
Citizens can complain online, and the Chief Minister himself helps to solve them.
In the past few years, the government has solved over 27,600 complaints.
SWAGAT started a long time ago, in 2003, and has helped solve hundreds of thousands of problems.
People can also use a mobile app.
Now, if a problem isn't solved quickly, it goes to the boss of the person in charge, making sure that the problem gets fixed faster.
Gujarat's SWAGAT initiative allows citizens to directly register grievances with the CMO.
Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has resolved over 27,600 complaints in the last three-and-a-half years.
SWAGAT, started in 2003, has received over 8.16 lakh complaints, resolving 8.08 lakh.
