Karnataka BJP padayatra's fourth day targets Congress guarantees

The BJP held the fourth day of a long walking campaign in Karnataka.

The march traveled about 22 kilometers and ended in Karatagi.

BJP leaders spoke with farmers, traders, workers and other local residents.

B.Y. Vijayendra said the Congress government was focusing too much on its Five Guarantees.

He alleged that some poor people, elderly people and people with disabilities had not received pensions for months.

He also pointed to shortages of doctors, teachers, jobs and basic facilities in rural areas.

Traders discussed problems involving licenses, paperwork, loans and market facilities.

Govind Karjol made allegations about money meant for Dalits and the Valmiki Corporation.

The BJP said it would continue its agitation and promised to prioritize rural development if it returned to power.
