Odisha Names Mohanty as Women's Commission Head
The Odisha government has chosen new leaders for important state commissions.
Shovana Mohanty will lead the State Commission for Women (SCW), and Babita Patra will head the Odisha State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (OSCPCR).
The government also appointed Pratibha Satpathy, Urmila Mohapatra, Kalpana Mallick, and Mukta Sahu as members of the SCW.
Additionally, Sukeshi Oram, Kalpana Lenka, Chandana Das, Kasturi Mishra, Manasmita Khuntia, and Sujata Nayak have been appointed as members of the OSCPCR.
Mohanty will serve for three years at the SCW.
The SCW works to help and protect the rights of women.
