PAU Announces Kharif Kisan Melas Schedule
The Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) has announced the schedule for the upcoming Kisan Melas, which are special events for farmers.
These melas will be held in seven districts of Punjab in March 2026.
Farmers can visit these melas to buy seeds for the kharif sowing season.
The first mela will be in Nagkalan-Jahangir, Amritsar, on March 10.
Other melas will be in Rauni (Patiala) and Ballowal Saunkhri on March 12 and 14, respectively.
PAU is introducing new crop varieties and technologies that are water-efficient, climate-resilient, and high-yielding.
They are also offering new types of fruits, vegetables, and flowers.
