Aadhaar to be Linked with Affordable Housing Portal
The government is making it harder to cheat the system when people apply for affordable housing.
They're linking the application portal to Aadhaar cards to make sure the information is correct and prevent mistakes or sneaky behavior.
This is because there were some problems in a previous housing lottery where some people shouldn't have been allowed to apply.
The new system will automatically check people's details, reject those who aren't eligible, and stop anyone from applying more than once.
This should make the whole process fairer and easier.
Haryana's affordable housing e-draw portal will link with Aadhaar for verification.
The move aims to eliminate manipulation and duplication in the application process.
Applicant details will be auto-populated and cross-checked with Aadhaar data.
The system will reject ineligible applications and prevent duplicate entries.
The changes follow irregularities in the Aster Avenue 36 housing draw.
