IIT Bhubaneswar Placements: 2023-2025 Trends
IIT Bhubaneswar has seen some big changes in job placements over the last three years.
In 2025, more students got jobs than ever before, with the highest salary offer reaching Rs 67.6 lakh per year.
This is a big jump from 2023, when the highest offer was Rs 55.75 lakh.
Computer Science and Engineering was the most popular course, and it also had the highest number of students getting jobs.
Other branches like Electrical, Mechanical, and Civil Engineering also did well.
Big companies like BEL, BPCL, and HPCL came to hire students.
The school is doing better every year at helping students find good jobs.
IIT Bhubaneswar's 2025 placement rate reached 90.07%, the highest in three years, with the top domestic package at Rs 67.6 lakh per annum.
Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) remained the most preferred branch, with a 95.3% placement rate and the highest average salary of Rs 23.2 lakh per annum.
Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) saw a 15% increase in student preferences, with a 78.7% placement rate and an average salary of Rs 19.8 lakh per annum.
Core branches like Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, and Metallurgical Engineering reported placement rates close to or above 88%, with varying salary packages.
Dual degree programs, especially in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering, recorded high average and median salaries, with CSE dual degree achieving a 100% placement rate.
