BRS Leaders Questioned in Phone Tapping Case

BRS Leaders Questioned in Phone Tapping Case

A leader from the BRS party, R.S. Praveen Kumar, said that the government is trying to make the Special Investigation Team (SIT) blame two important BRS leaders, K.T. Rama Rao and T. Harish Rao, for phone tapping.

He thinks the government is doing this to make the BRS party look bad.

He also said that the government might be tapping phones of its own cabinet members.

The SIT is investigating a former intelligence official who is accused of phone tapping.

Meanwhile, the SIT questioned former BRS legislator G. Jaipal Yadav and former BRS MLC K. Chirumurthi Lingiah in the presence of former ASP M. Tirupatanna.

Evidence suggests Yadav provided private phone numbers to the SIB for illegal monitoring.

The investigation is looking into the 'RR Module,' a surveillance system that targeted politicians, film personalities, businessmen, and others.
