India-France Joint Military Exercise SHAKTI Begins in France
India and France are holding a joint military exercise called SHAKTI.
This event happens every two years and is all about soldiers from both countries training together.
This year, it's happening in France, from June 18 to July 1, 2025.
Around 90 soldiers from India, mainly from the Jammu and Kashmir Rifles, are participating.
France is also sending about 90 soldiers from the 13th Foreign Legion Half-Brigade.
They'll practice different military skills, share tips, and learn about new equipment.
The main goal is to improve how the two armies work together.
They will focus on working together in tricky situations, like in towns and cities, following rules set by the United Nations.
