Centre Notifies New High Court Appointments

The government has announced the appointment of four lawyers as judges in three different High Courts.

Ritesh Kumar and Praveen Kumar will be judges in the Patna High Court.

Jai Krishna Upadhyay will be a judge in the Allahabad High Court.

Siddhartha Sah will be an additional judge in the Uttarakhand High Court.

These appointments were recommended by the Supreme Court Collegium, which is a group of senior judges who suggest who should be appointed as judges.

The President made these appointments after talking to the Chief Justice of India.

The Collegium had earlier recommended these lawyers because they have a good reputation and nothing bad was known about them.

This process ensures that the right people are chosen to be judges in our courts.
