NIA Issues Notice to Journalist
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) in Hyderabad has asked a journalist named Raghu to come for questioning.
They think he might have been spreading messages that support a banned group called the Maoists.
The NIA also arrested a social worker named Gade Innaiah.
He was arrested because of a speech he gave at a funeral where he supposedly encouraged people to support the Maoists and do illegal things.
Innaiah is now in jail for 14 days while the authorities investigate.
NIA issued a notice to journalist Raghu for questioning over allegations of spreading Maoist propaganda.
Social activist Gade Innaiah was arrested on December 21 for a speech he gave in October.
Innaiah is charged under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.
The NIA claims video evidence shows Innaiah making provocative remarks supporting the banned CPI (Maoist).
Innaiah was remanded to 14 days of judicial custody in Chanchalguda Central Prison.
