Mishra Says India Must Democratise Capital Amid Growth Challenges

Neelkanth Mishra discussed how India can grow and create more opportunities.

He said there are many workers looking for jobs but not enough capital to support all of them.

This imbalance can increase inequality.

He believes India should make it easier for more people and businesses to access money for productive work.

Mishra said creating enough jobs for everyone would require very fast growth, which may not be realistic.

He also said artificial intelligence could help students learn even when schools lack good teachers.

He warned that expensive and uncertain energy supplies could remain a problem for India for 10 to 12 years.

He expects companies to invest when they find businesses with attractive opportunities.

He also said India’s currency can stabilise, although global conflicts and oil prices remain risks.
