Forgetting Dinkarrao Javalkar: Pune's Unremembered Critic

Forgetting Dinkarrao Javalkar: Pune's Unremembered Critic

A long time ago, there was a man named Dinkarrao Javalkar who lived in India.

He was a leader in a movement that wanted to help people who were not part of the Brahmin caste, which was a powerful group at that time.

Javalkar was also known for criticizing other leaders like Bal Gangadhar Tilak, whom he thought were not good for the country.

He wrote a book called 'Nation's Enemies' where he said some leaders were actually hurting the country.

Today, there is a road in the city of Pune named after Javalkar, but many people who live there don't know who he was or why the road has his name.

It's a bit sad because his story and his ideas have been mostly forgotten.
